So, now that that's over.... we're going to keep being AWESOME. This month we have a workshop on Hugelkultur beds (Saturday, 2/25). Hugelkultur is a method of building garden beds by piling pieces of wood and covering them with topsoil and compost. The benefits of Hugelkultur are the high amount of organic matter available to plants, and low irrigation needs.

You can kinda make out the roof of our (sexy) future outdoor kitchen/stage, and also Knoll's room to the right of that. He was a busy bee in December and January applying earthen and lime plasters to the inside and outside. I really enjoy seeing how different people take on natural building differently; everybody has their own flair. Knoll made designs on his walls by impressing animal bones, which is really badass.
Hope to see y'all at Circle Acres this month!
